Module 1:
Contains information on government regulations. Explains informed consent, and tells you what information to provide to clients. Teaches you how to set-up and organize a file the Work Wellness way. Teaches you how to set appointments, keep proper file notes, and deal with legal representatives and interpreters.
Module 2:
Gives you an overview of the assessment from start to finish, covering the basic steps involved and tools required. An in-depth look at interviewing takes place, including information to collect, how to manage the interview, what types of questions to ask to obtain the information you need, and how to establish a good rapport.
Module 3:
Form 1/Attendant Care Assessments are covered. Discover what the various attendant care providers are capable of doing, and who is allowed to perform the various attendant care duties. The roles of PSWs, RPNs, and RNs are discussed. We look at the essential home chores, covering what to look for when assessing each task and possible recommendations for body mechanics and assistive devices.
Module 4:
This module focuses on recommendations. We cover assistive devices in greater depth, as well as giving you the tools to calculate housekeeping, attendant care, and childcare requirements. 14 potential barriers to recovery are discussed as well as how to over come these barriers. Also included is a sample Independent Written Rehabilitation Plan to demonstrate a good method of organizing your recommendations.
Module 5:
Module 5 is a bonus included only with the Correspondence version of the course. You will learn how to structure your reports, write to persuade, and to be clear and concise at the same time. You will learn the methods technical writers use to make their material easily understood. A grammar refresher, and writing rules are included for your reference.
