In Ontario, Kinesiologists are newly regulated health professionals. But what does this mean in practical terms?  If you are a recent or impending graduate of a kinesiology program, or a newly regulated kinesiologist wanting to ensure you meet the standards of the college then this is the course for you.

Join, Conny Glenn, R.Kin., the inaugural President of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario, and owner of Work Wellness for an informative session about being a regulated health professional.

Day One - Conny will explain the Regulated Health Professions Act, The Kinesiology Act, and the specific regulations, standards, and guidelines that govern kinesiology.  Learn about topics critical to safe, ethic and legal practice such as informed consent, record keeping, proper billing procedures.

Day Two - Our second day we will get you talking - literally. Our focus will be on communications. One of the most important aspects of being a professional is your ability to communicate with clients, other health professionals and third parties such as insurers. Topics covered include interviewing, counselling, working in a team and client advocacy. Interact with your peers as you practice these skills and discuss how to handle difficult situations and conversations.

There are all kinds of courses on office ergonomics, but what make this one a must have course is that we take you beyond basic assessments to solving big league problems.

Office ergonomics has become more complex as more individuals with chronic health conditions seek our help. During the first part of this  course we will talk about considerations for people with severe or chronic health conditions like diabetes, multiple sclerosis, and cancer just to name a few. We will also teach you how to approach vision, hearing and other environmental issues in office settings.

During the afternoon the focus will be on solutions. Learn more about office furniture systems and options from our office equipment specialists. What do you need to measure or note to make a good recommendation? What are barriers to getting furniture and equipment installed and how can these be avoided.  Learn about alternate equipment and devices that could potentially work for your clients no matter what the need.

Let us bring our experience to the table to help you help your client's.

Join, Conny Glenn R.Kin. a practicing ergonomic consultant with over 20 years experience and her team as they share their knowledge and expertise.
